Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Where is the Model & Serial Number for my Outboard Motor?
A: If you are looking at the transom (back) of your boat, look closely at where the motor mounts onto the boat. Check each side of the motor for a small sticker or metal plate with information on it. It can be on either side depending on the brand of your motor. If hard to see try turning motor all the way to one side, if not there im may be on the other side.
Q: Where is the Boat Serial Number?
A: Typically, if you're looking at the transom (back) of your boat, the serial number is in the top-right corner either engraved onto a metal plate or into the boat itself. Some manufacturer's may put it going down the side or right around the corner from the top-right side of the boat.
Q: "My boat won't start!? Turning the key and its doing nothing..
A: If you turn your key and nothing happens, it very well could be your safety kill switch. You'd be surprised, but it happens to the best of us. Some kill switches can just be a switch or some may also require a safety tether cord that needs inserted for boat to turn over. If that's not the trick you may have a bad battery connection or dead battery. If any other questions feel free to call and someone from our staff will be able to help you. Thanks!
